Dr. Jarrahian has been teaching on the Lima campus since 2013. His  responsibilities include teaching the laboratories for Elementary Chemistry   (1110), General Chemistry I (1210), and General Chemistry II (1220). Prior   to teaching at OSU-Lima, Dr. Jarrahian taught pharmacy students for ten years, first at Butler University and then at Ohio Northern University. He taught pharmacology, toxicology, and medicinal chemistry to 4th and 5th year  pharmacy students.

Laboratory Manager: In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Dr. Jarrahian is also the laboratory manager.  Basically, he is responsible for ensuring that the materials needed  for the weekly laboratories have been gathered and prepared and that they equipment is maintained.

The endocannabinoid system and the three proteins associated with it – the central CB1 receptor, Fatty Acid Amide Hydrolase, and the “putative”         anandamide (arachidonylethanolamide) transporter is a special interest.     Specifically, Dr. Jarrahian is interested in structure-activity relationships (SAR) of CB1 receptor agonists, FAAH inhibitors, and anandamide transport inhibitors.
