History of communication from the beginning of spoken and written communication to modern mediated mass communication. This course is required for admittance to the undergraduate major.

Introductory course in critical thinking and public speaking, that focuses on how to analyze and organize information for oral presentations.


200 Communication in Society

Role of communication in society; forms, strategies, theories and issues; interpersonal, group, public and mass communication. This course is required for admittance to the undergraduate major.


221 Reporting and Editing for the News Media

Introduction to, and instruction and practice in newswriting, reporting and editing for the news media taught in a laboratory setting.
