David Easter teaches the gamut of Communication courses at OSU Lima, including the history of human communication, media effects, the role of communication in society and human relationships, speech and persuasion, and media writing.  His research specializes in cultural theory, media studies and communication policy. He has published journal and book articles in such areas as government policy and the Information Society, the ideological effects of media discourse, and the history of twentieth century conceptual art from the perspective of communication theory. Prior to teaching, he worked as a journalist covering developments in communication policy and technology.
