Arbuckle Creative Writing Awards

The Arbuckle Creative Writing Awards were initiated in 2002 to honor the memory of Professor Nan Arbuckle and her contributions to The Ohio State University at Lima.  Dr. Arbuckle, in addition to being a Medievalist and a composition specialist, was an accomplished poet, and one of her ambitions was to foster a love of creative writing among her students.  The goal of the Arbuckle Awards, thus, is to encourage and to reward the writing of outstanding poetry and prose on the Lima campus.

Awards: Poetry Award: 1st Place $100, 2nd Place $50; Prose Award: 1st Place $100, 2nd Place $50.

Guidelines: Students must be published in the OSU-Lima literary magazine Hog Creek Review in order to be eligible for the awards. See the submissions guidelines.
