 Honors Book Seminar
During each semester, we select a book to read which we then discuss in an informal seminar, usually with pizza! This is a great opportunity for students and faculty to interact in the discussion of a topic of mutual interest. This seminar is sponsored by the Honors Program, but is open to anyone on campus or in the Lima community.

The most recent Honors Book Seminar featured a book by Jack Horner and James Gorman: "How to Build a Dinosaur". The authors suggest that the instructions for constructing a dinosaur still reside in avian DNA, since birds evolved from dinosaurs; and that by using a developing chicken embryo and manipulating the controlling developmental genes, the developmental pathways for dinosaur characteristics could be released.
