Initiated by Professor Hans Zassenhaus in 1965, the Ohio State-Denison Math Conference has a long tradition. The conference will meet during May 21-23 and will have sessions in Group Theory and Ring Theory this year. Several prominent mathematicians will be giving talks at the Ring Theory Session including, Laszlo Fuchs (Tulane), Barbara Osofsky (Rutgers), T.Y. Lam (Berkley), Jose L. Garcia (University of Murcia, Spain), D.V. Huynh (Ohio), Andre Leroy (Universite' d'Artois, France), and Sergio Lopez-Permouth (Ohio) among others. Similarly, the Group Theory Session includes several prominent mathematicians as speakers.
The conference starts at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 21 and ends at 12:30 PM on Sunday, May 23.The Ring Theory talks will be held in MA240 and the Group Theory talks will be held in Scott Lab -SO- 0040 and Scott Lab -SO- 0024.
The conference is supported by the Mathematics Research Institute at the Ohio State University - Columbus and the Ohio State University at Lima.
