The Phillip A. Heath Center for Teaching and Learning
The Phillip A. Heath Center for Teaching and Learning makes a high-quality education accessible to all students by offering a welcoming, respectful and academically supportive environment. The Center works with faculty and staff to support students in all disciplines and of all ability levels.

In an average month, students make more than 1200 visits to the state-of-the-art facility to take advantage of a variety of testing services, individual tutoring and many other student services.

Writing Center

Students can find assistance for specific projects and their general writing skills in a caring, supportive environment.

Hours are:
  • Monday - Thursday 9 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Friday 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
  • Mathematics Center

    Assistance is available in mathematics and statistics.

    Hours are:
  • Monday-Thursday 7:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
  • Friday 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • and are subject to change.
    Spanish Tutorials

    Hours are:

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday 12:30 - 1:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Thursday 11:20-1:20 p.m.

  • Chemistry and Physics Tutorials: The Science Corner

    Tutors are able to assist in chemistry and physics.

    Placement Testing

    Exam Proctoring

    Proctoring of exams (e.g., make-up, special needs, early finals for graduating seniors) is performed free-of-charge for all Ohio State students, both current and past. Students attending other institutions who seek this service will be assessed a fee of $50 per course for the 1 or more exams proctored.     EM Testing

    The Credit by Examination Program allows students to progress more rapidly toward their educational goals by reducing the time and money normally required for degree completion.
