SWK 1140: Minority Perspectives: Race, Ethnicity, and Gender (3 cr.)
Examination of the structure of human societies, cultures, and institutions from the perspective of oppressed minority populations.
Prereq: Not open to students with credit for 300. GE diversity soc div in the US course.

SWK 5011: Loss & Grief: A Social Work Practice Perspective (2 cr.)
Examines the theoretical, cultural, social and personal aspects of loss and grief and introduce students to approaches and interventions with diverse populations.
Prereq: Sr or Grad standing. Not open to students with credit for 714.

Comparative analysis of theories and models of addiction, including biological, psychological, socio-cultural, and pharmacological aspects, as well as related legal and ethical concerns.

Examines domestic and global human trafficking from a social work perspective.
