Literature and Ethnicity

In this course, the students will read contemporary narratives and fiction and analyze life experiences, mindsets and values of diverse cultures in the United States.  The students will discuss the experiences of people of different ethnicities and races in the United States and will focus on the importance of immigration in contemporary American culture and politics.  The students will analyze social attitudes towards immigration and reasons behind them. 

The course fulfills GE requirements for literature and social diversity.
