Anniversary

When the people of west central Ohio wanted access to a world class education, The Ohio State University began offering classes in Lima in the classrooms of Lima Senior High School. That was in 1960. The Ohio State University at Lima celebrates its 50th anniversary of teaching and learning with 38,000 alumni, more than 1,500 current students and a beautiful campus set on a 565-acre learning laboratory.

Over the years, the University has captured many milestones and memories on film. Many of them are posted on this website. Take a few minutes to browse through the galleries to see people and places that you may remember. Under each picture is a place to comment on who is in the photo, what they are doing and when it was taken. If you have any photos you would like to share during this anniversary celebration, email the Office of Communications at communications@lima.ohio-state.edu. Click on Campus Memories anywhere throughout the anniversary site to share your favorite stories or to read those of other Ohio State Lima Buckeyes.
