Mansfield, OH – In an overtime thriller, the Barons fell to the Mavericks of OSU Mansfield 111 to 120. In overtime, the Barons were just unable to keep up with the Mavericks, missing a couple key shots and suffering some timely good free throw shooting by OSU Mansfield.

Leading the way offensively for the Barons was freshman center Matt Sanders with 35 and sophomore forward Chuck Patterson who added 30 points on the night.

The Barons return to action this Friday as they travel to take on Edison State at 6:30pm. They don’t return home until November 25^th when they host UC Clermont at 7:30pm, following the Lady Barons contest versus UC Clermont which is set to begin at 5:30pm.

Mansfield, OH – The Lady Barons opened their 2009-10 season on the road this year as they traveled to take on OSU Mansfield.

The first half started well for the Lady Barons, as they vaulted out to an early 10 point lead. However, they were unable to hold on as the Mavericks of OSU Mansfield rallied back to win a nail biter 63 to 62.

The leading scorer for the Lady Barons was senior guard Gwen Noble of Lima Bath as Noble netted 18 points for the game. The Lady Barons return to action this Friday as they travel the short trip across town to take on cross-town rival UNOH. Tip is set for 5:30.
