Lancaster, OH – The ORCC has announced their All Conference teams, with four Barons earning honors.
First team honors went to Sophomore Catcher Mitch Schulze and Freshman Pitcher/Infielder Chris Boyd.
Schulze batted .357, with a .571 slugging, and a .429 on base percentage in ORCC play this season. Boyd who had a 1 & 1 record with two no decisions in ORCC play, also had a 3.32 ERA while striking out just under 1 batter per inning. Boyd also batted .371, with a 1.000 slugging, and a .600 on base percentage.
Second team honors went to Freshman Shortstop Ryan Mawer and Freshman Centerfielder Adam Hemker.
Mawer batted .428, with a .667 slugging, and a .500 on base percentage in ORCC games. Hemker batted .351, with a .811 slugging, and on base percentage of .568, and a team leading 3 Homeruns. Mawer and Hemker also both pitched in relief for the Barons this season.
“I am very proud of all four of these young men. They all worked extremely hard this past winter to improve themselves, and deserve this reward. I am already looking forward to next season and seeing the continued effort from these young men and how it continues to carry over to the rest of our Barons,” said Head Coach Rob Livchak.
