Barons kept hot play in Ohio on trip to Indiana

Fort Wayne, IN – Wednesday evening, the Barons traveled out of the state to Fort Wayne, Indiana to take on Taylor University of Fort Wayne. Unfortunately for the Barons, their hot start of 2008 appears to want to stay in the state of Ohio as they were downed by the Falcons 97 to 78.

TUFW’s trio of Dontrelle Hogue, Ryan Woods, and Jessie Boldt was just too much for the Barons as the three of them combined for 53 of the Falcons’ 97 points. Leading the way for the Barons was Jordan Swift (Shawnee), who knocked down 21 in a losing effort for the Barons. Other contributors for the Barons were Brent Cook (Spencerville) with 13, and Justin Mayer (Shawnee) with 10.

The loss drops the Barons’ record to 10 & 8 overall, 8 & 4 in the ORCC. The Barons continue their road swing with a trip to OU Chillicothe Friday and OU Lancaster on Saturday. The Barons will look to return to their winning ways as they were victorious in both of their previous matchups with OU Chillicothe and OU Lancaster.

The Barons do not return home again until Saturday, January 26th as they host OU Zanesville with the tip set for 3pm following the Lady Barons contest starting at 1pm.

Come out and support the Barons! Admission is free for all OSU and Rhodes State students.
