Barons come up just short in upset bid

Fort Wayne, IN – In a game that featured the Barons and the Falcons of TUFW, who had just beat the Barons by 23 points on November 8th, Barons junior guard Ryan Schroeder (Ft. Jennings) had his  game tying effort from beyond the three point arc ring out  as the buzzer sounded, leaving TUFW with the victory, 74 to 71.

Leading the way for the Barons was Schroeder who netted 18, going 6 for 6 from the charity stripe while grabbing 11 rebounds. Boomer Roller (Kalida) added 17 points while Blake Floyd (Shawnee) and Riley Huffer (Waynesfield) each contributed with 13 points.

The Barons road trip continues as they travel to UC Clermont November 25th and then to Edison State on the 26th. The Barons don’t return home until December 3rd when they face Edison State, in a second of the two game series.

The Barons will also be home on December 6th when The Ohio State University at Lima FYE is hosting “Barons Smoke Screen” where the first 300 fans will receive a free t-shirt, compliments of Ohio State Lima FYE! Come out and support the Barons. Admission is free to all students, faculty, and staff of Ohio State Lima and Rhodes State College.
