Barons Womens Basketball
Team Photograph Women's Basketball at Ohio State Lima offers students a chance to compete with other college teams. The Lady Barons competes against the other colleges in the Ohio Regional Campus Conference. O.R.C.C. basketball consists of 10 teams. There is a regular season champion as well as a state tournament held at the end of the year. The Barons play a 24 game schedule. We follow the rules set forth by the NCAA.

Head Coach
Aaron Hutchins is the new women’s basketball coach. Hutchins was coached by Bob Seggerson and was a three-year starter at Lima Central Catholic, leading his team to a 75-5 record during that span. Lima Central Catholic advanced to the state tournament in each of those three seasons and lost in the state semi-finals during Hutchins' sophomore and junior seasons. They advanced to the state championship game in his senior year. Lima Central Catholic was ranked Ohio's to Division III team during the 1992-93 and 1993-94 seasons.

Hutchins was named Ohio's Mr. Basketball in 1994, the first Division III player to receive that honor, as he averaged 25.3 points, 7.1 assists and 3.5 rebounds as a senior. He was also the MVP at the 1993 Five Star Camp.

Hutchins went to Marquette University and led Marquette in scoring.

In 2003, Hutchins was assistant coach for the Varsity team for his alma mater in Lima where he was able to work under his former high school coach Bob Seggerson.

“I have great hopes and am very excited to be part of the Barons team here at the Ohio State Lima/Rhodes State campus and look forward to a great season with the women’s basketball team,” Hutchins said.

Hutchins currently resides in Lima with his family.
