The Board of Trustees of The Ohio State University at Lima initiated an Ohio State Lima Hall of Fame to be awarded annually. The criteria for election to the Hall of Fame are as follows:

• The nominee must have successfully completed a minimum of one (1) academic quarter of full time study at Ohio State Lima and must be a graduate of The Ohio State University.
• The nominee must be an advocate for the University and regarded as a community leader with a record of sustained professional recognition and/or involvement in community activity.

Selection Process. Selection of the initial class/honoree(s) will be made by the Ohio State Lima Board of Trustees. The second and subsequent classes of honorees will be chosen by Trustees appointed to the External Relations Committee and others appointed by the Board Chair. At least one prior Hall of Fame honoree will be invited to be part of the selection process. The Chair of the External Relations Committee will organize and chair the Hall of Fame Committee.

Nomination Process. A call for nominations will be made through a variety of sources including the local and regional media, University notices, and by the Board of Trustees. Nominations should include a letter of nomination which explains the nominee’s qualifications. A resume’ should accompany the nomination letter.

The Award. The successful nominee will receive a personal plaque/award. A Hall of Fame Gallery will be constructed
