  • Buckeye Tailgate and Open House   Tailgate your way through what it’s like to Be A Buckeye at Ohio State Lima! From a campus tour and an exploration of majors to hearing from current students about their experiences, this day is all about finding out what it means to Be A Buckeye! Faculty, Admissions and Financial Aid representatives will share information that you’ll need to make a great play at Ohio State Lima.   • Honors Trip to Columbus!   THE HONORS SEMINAR HITS THE ROAD! Tour the acclaimed Transfigurations exhibition at the Wexner Center in Columbus with Lima’s Ed Valentine. We’ll leave campus at 9:00 a.m. and return before dinner. Transportation, admission, and lunch provided for all Honors students who RSVP to adams.428@osu.edu by October 24. Participants will receive materials to review in preparation for the tour. See wexarts.org/explore/ for more info about the exhibition.

  • DREAM Program 2015   The Dare to Reach Excellence Achievement and Meaning (DREAM) Program is a scholarship program geared toward underrepresented high school seniors in Allen County. There will be four events that walk the students through the admissions and financial aid processes at Ohio State Lima. Upon successful completion of the DREAM Program and CLIFFS (College Level Intervention for Freshman Success summer bridge program), students receive a renewable scholarship at Ohio State Lima. During this first DREAM event for the 2014-2015 academic year, admissions representatives will explain what the DREAM program is and share all that Ohio State Lima has to offer. Allen County high school seniors who meet the requirements and their parents will be invited.

  • Alice in Wonderland   Please join us for our 20th annual Theatre for Young Audiences production of "Alice in Wonderland," directed by Margie Anich, adapted by William Goldsmith (Artistic Director of Columbus Children’s Theatre) from the story by Lewis Carroll.
  • Explore Academics - Biology, Social Work, Psychology and Health Sciences   Prospective students are invited to discover how the Biology, Social Work, Psychology and Health Sciences programs at Ohio State Lima offer the same world-class education as in Columbus, but with smaller class sizes and individual attention. Students and their guests will hear from Enrollment Services staff (Admissions, Financial Aid, Advising and First Year Experience) and take a tour around Ohio State Lima’s campus, followed by meeting with faculty and program coordinators in your major of interest!   • Documentary Film - ’The Invisible War’   Join us for a movie viewing and discussion about The Invisible War. Mike Tarbet, Prevention Educator from Crime Victims Services will be hosting a short discussion following the film.

    The Invisible War, by Oscar and Emmy-nominated director Kirby Dick and Emmy-nominated producer Amy Ziering, is a searing expose of the epidemic of rape of soldiers within the US military, the institutions that perpetuate and cover up its existence, and its profound personal and social consequences.

  • Passport to Employment Series: Networking over the Holidays   All students are encouraged to attend this Passport to Employment Series presentation. These information sessions include career related information and hands on practice to assist students as they develop themselves professionally throughout their college career. Networking is one of the most important tools a student can possess when searching for an internship or full time career opportunity. This session will walk through the key elements of networking and provide a fun, relaxed atmosphere for students to practice their newly learned networking skills through role play games and activities.   • Spring Orientation 2015   Orientation is going to be held on Thursday, December 11. Registration will begin at 8:30 AM in the Science Building with the formal presentation beginning at 9:00 AM and concluding at approximately 12:00 PM. Orientation will give you an opportunity to become more familiar with campus and the resources that are available to you as an Ohio State student. Academic Advisors will help you schedule your spring courses and financial aid counselors will be available to assist with any questions.
