February 09, 2010: Ohio State Lima Pep Band Enjoy the music of Ohio State Lima’s pep band at the Barons basketball games. The Lady Barons play at 5 p.m. and the Barons play at 7 p.m. in the Cook Hall Gym. The pep band will play between games and at half time of each game.

February 10, 2010: Comedian Roy Wood, Jr. will perform at 12:30 p.m. in the Galvin Gameroom. He is a regular guest on the Bob and Tom Radio Show and was nominated for the Campus Activities Magazine Comedian of the Year in 2008. The performance is free and open to the public.

February 10, 2010: Comedian Roy Wood, Jr. Show - Cancelled The Roy Wood, Jr. show has been rescheduled for April 6, 2010.

February 11, 2010: Student Choice Movie Night. The Winner is... The Notebook. CAB presents a student selected film at 10 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m., and 7:30 p.m. in the Galvin Gameroom. The students voted for "The Notebook"!

February 11, 2010: Ohio State Lima Business Club Fundraiser The Ohio State Lima Business Club will be selling Valentines Candy in collaboration with the Campus Activities Board screening of The Notebook. Stop by the Game room for a variety of your favorite sweetheart candies.

February 11, 2010: "Federal Internships: Finding and Applying for Summer 2010--Part Two" This webinar will tell you how to apply for a federal internship, build your federal resume and write a KSA (KSA stands for Knowledge, Skills and Abilities. These are narrative or Essay Statements, which are frequently required along with a resume when applying for government jobs). Snacks will be provided. February 17, 2010: Pizza Toss The Campus Activities Board will be hosting a unique Pizza Toss performance by Michael Shepherd from Michael Angelo’s Pizza in Kenton. Stop by the Barons Bistro at 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. for some free pizza and a chance to vote on the Lima Campus’ favorite pizza eatery.

February 20, 2010: Saturday Programs for Professionals Series - Constructive Conflict will be presented at Ohio State Lima from 9:00 a.m.-12:15 p.m. in Science 100. Cost is $25.00. For registration information, please contact Mary Jo Ferda.

February 21, 2010: Ice Skating at The Cube Students can sign up to go ice skating at The Cube in Findlay on Sunday, February 21, from 2-4 p.m. The cost is $5.00 and Ohio State Lima can provide transportation from campus to The Cube. Anyone interested should sign up and pay in the Ohio State Lima Visitor and Student Service Center.

February 24, 2010: WOW Presents Jason Levasseur Join Campus Activities Board for some fun entertainment with coffee house style relaxation and enjoy Singer/songwriter Jason Levasseur.

February 25, 2010: Theatre Department presents Antigone by Sophocles directed by Melanie House. Showtimes are Feb. 25-27 at 8 p.m. and Feb. 28 at 2 p.m. To purchase tickets, call the box office at (419) 995-8382.

March 03, 2010: TV Series: House Marathon Campus Activities Board will be devoting a whole day to the TV series House with a first-ever House Marathon on Wednesday, March 3. Stop by the Game room from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. for your dose of medicine.

March 04, 2010: Dinner and a Movie WATER (India/Canada, 2005) Directed by Deepa Mehta. The film examines the plight of a group of widows forced into poverty at a temple in the holy city of Varanasi. It focuses on a relationship between one of the widows, who wants to escape the social restrictions imposed on widows, and a man who is from the highest caste and a follower of Mahatma Gandhi. Oscar Nominee for Best Foreign Language Film. The charge for dinner and a movie is $30, and the charge for the movie only is $5. March 05, 2010: Pickle’s Blues Extravaganza This is a Passport to Lima Event. The show features Sam Cockrell, Harlem Avenue Lounge All-Stars featuring Ted Reynolds, Joanna Connor and Quintus McCormick. Tickets are $5.00 for OSU students and $10.00 for non-OSU Students. Doors open at 6 p.m and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in the Visitor and Student Services Center.

March 06, 2010: Lima Regional Science Olympiad Ohio State Lima will host this competition for middle and high school students, 9 a.m.- 2 p.m. Public events will be in the Cook gymnasium. For more information contact Beth Gray.

March 08, 2010: PALS present Ellen and Christopher Scholl - Vocalists, Michael Benson - Pianist Mezzo-Soprano Ellen Scholl and Tenor Christopher Scholl collaborate with Michael Benson, piano, for a program of music composed by Ben Moore, Richard Strauss, duets by Thomas Pasatieri and an arrangement of the Ameican Folksong "How Can I Keep From Singing" by Richard Walters. Chris and Ellen are members of the voice faculty in the College of Musical Arts at Bowling Green State University.

March 11, 2010: Spring Choral Concert at 8 p.m. in the Martha W. Farmer Theatre for the Performing Arts. The concert is free and open to the public.

March 31, 2010: Comedian: Jessica Kirson Campus Activities Board What’s on Wednesday Presents comedian Jessica Kirson. Jessica’s unique style and captivating stage presence captures the attention of audiences everywhere she performs. Her wide variety of characters brings a diverse energy to her routine. Once you have seen her amazing talent, it is easy to understand why she was selected to perform at the Hamptons, Toyota, Marshall’s Women in Comedy, Comedy Central’s South Beach, Montreal, and HBO’s Las Vegas comedy festivals. Jessica has been featured on various television shows, including Comedy Central’s Premium Blend and Fresh Faces, VH1’s Awesomely Bad Shows, NBC’s Last Comic Standing Seasons 2 and 3, Last Call with Carson Daly, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Showtime’s White Boyz in the Hood, and ABC’s Comics Unleashed with Bryon Allen. She was recently awarded "Best Female Comic" by the MAC association in New York City.

April 07, 2010: What’s On Wednesday: Rudy Currence Campus Activities Board What’s On Wednesday Presents Singer/Songwriter Rudy Currence. Innovative and classic, Rudy Currence is a powerful, unique voice in today’s music scene. Rudy sings with power and passion, writes beautiful soulful lyrics, produces complex music, and plays several instruments including the keyboard and guitar. Multitalented, yet humble and soft-spoken, this young man already possesses an easy charm on and off the stage. His musical background is very diverse, spanning genres including R&B, gospel, jazz and blues, folk, pop and classical. His style has been called a mix of the soul-stirring classics like Stevie Wonder, Donnie Hathaway and Marvin Gaye with modern edginess of artists like India Arie, Avril Lavigne and Alicia Keyes. Rudy has had two songs recorded by Mya for her recent CD release and had a song included on the soundtrack for Tom Cruise’s Minority Report. Rudy will one day leave a musical legacy behind for generations to come.

April 14, 2010: Scrapbooking What’s on Wednesday presents Scrapbooking. Join Campus Activities Board for demos, tips and tricks with Scrapbooking. Bring along photos as Jane Higbie will be demonstrating creative ways to spice up your Scrapbooks. Paper, stickers, scissors, tape, and glue will all be provided.

May 03, 2010: May Week Kick Off: Natalie Stovall Campus Activities Board Kicks off May week with Natalie Stovall. Natalie’s refreshing sound strikes a perfect balance of traditional country and high energy, soulful, rock music. Natalie has become one of the most booked artists on the college scene and military base circuit. She is not just a great singer, she also plays a mean fiddle. Over the past year, Natalie and the band have opened for artist such as Little Big Town, Los Lonely Boys, and Josh Gracin and were invited by the President to sing God Bless America at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner (the first woman invited to do so). Her multi-song covers medley (dubbed by Nat as "Fiddle-Palooza") and her unique spin on the Devil Went Down to Georgia bring down the house at every performance. Peace. Love. Fiddles.
