Ohio State Lima’s ‘Super Science Saturday’ is out of this world at the Library Jan. 9

The Ohio State University at Lima, the Lima Public Library and Time Warner Cable present their second Super Science Saturday workshop from 10:00-11:45 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010, at the Library, 650 W. Market St. Super Science Saturdays are a series of interactive family events for children grades K-3.

The theme of this workshop is astronomy. Participants will rotate through several fun and interactive learning stations about the stars, moon, planets and the solar system. Ohio State Lima students and faculty, the Lima Astronomical Society and Lima Public Library staff will engage and excite kids and their parents with demonstrations, books, puppets and games, and a trip inside Ohio State Lima’s Starlab Planetarium.

The program is free with registration, which is ongoing in the Library’s Youth Services Department, or by phone at (419) 228-5113, ext. 121. Registration will continue until the program is full (up to 100 children, accompanied by an adult).
