Ohio State Provost announces interim dean for Lima campus

Executive Vice President and Provost Joseph A. Alutto has recommended to Ohio State University President E. Gordon Gee the appointment of Gregory S. Rose, dean and director of The Ohio State University at Marion campus, as interim dean and director at the Lima campus. Subject to approval by The Ohio State University Board of Trustees, this interim dean appointment will be effective July 1, 2013.

Dr. Rose will serve in dual roles on the Lima and Marion campuses and assist Ohio State Lima during its leadership transition period. John R. Snyder, current dean and director at Ohio State Lima, announced in November he would step down from the position in June 2013 at the end of his second term.

Associate Dean Allison B. Gilmore and Dr. Rose will collaborate closely during this transition period, and Dr. Rose will divide his time between the two campuses, working with the leadership teams at both campuses to ensure continuity.

A search committee for a permanent dean and director will be formed during fall semester 2013.
