Ohio State Lima math class offers Linear Algebra for teachers
CED grant covers software, calculator and at least a third of class fee
The Ohio State University at Lima’s Department of Mathematics will offer the graduate level Topics in Mathematics for Teachers – Linear Algebra (Math 610.02) during Summer Quarter 2008, from June 16 through July 3. Classes meet Monday-Thursday from 1:30-4:30 p.m.
The course counts towards professional development for high school teachers. Topics from Linear Algebra relevant to high school mathematics will be explored in this course. The course is partially funded by a Continuing Education grant that covers a third of each student’s fee and provides a textbook and a calculator for each student. Teachers from schools with Exchange of Service agreements with Ohio State Lima can take the course for free.
