Ohio State Lima posts highest enrollment in past decade for Autumn Quarter

Final enrollment figures for Autumn Quarter 2002 are in for The Ohio State University at Lima and they look great.

According to the University’s official 15-day count, 1412 students are attending classes. That reflects a nearly four percent increase over the same time last year. This is the highest overall enrollment since 1992 and the second highest since Ohio State Lima’s inception in 1960.

“This is exciting to show a significant increase in enrollment two years in a row.” said Dr. Garlene L. Smithson, Director of Enrollment Services. “Despite the demographic changes that have occurred in our population area that seemed to indicate fewer students are available for higher education, we continue to attract bright, motivated young people who have made Ohio State Lima their first choice University.”

Ohio State Lima offers Bachelor’s degree coursework in Biology, Business, Education, English, Family Financial Management, Health Sciences, History, Hospitality Management, and Psychology. Master’s degree work can be completed in Education and Social Work.
