FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE April 14, 2003 Contact: Pam Joseph at (419) 995-8284 or Erin McVicker at (419) 995-8332 Well-known jazz pianist and composer in Lima for Performing Arts series Internationally known jazz pianist and composer Joel Forrester will perform at noon, Monday, April 14, 2003, in Reed Hall 160 as part of the Performing Arts and Lecture Series sponsored by The Ohio State University at Lima and James A. Rhodes State College. Forrester has been described as an “undiscovered national treasure.” Millions listen every day to his theme for Fresh Air with Terry Gross on National Public Radio. Several other programs are planned for May as part of PALS. Cabaret Unlimited returns to campus at noon, Friday, May 2, 2003. This talented ensemble combines music, singing and narration to present popular musical revues of such favorites as Gershwin, Berlin, Porter and Gilbert & Sullivan. Sue Ott Rowlands will present a series of scenes from her one woman show Mercury 7 with Signs Following at noon, Monday, May 12, 2003. All three events are free and open to the public.
