Toys for Tots Pie In the Face contest to highlight campus basketball event

Somebody is going home with a pie in the face from the Lima Campus’ Butts in the Bleachers event on Wed., Dec. 3, 2003.

The Bleachers event starts at 3 p.m. with the Lady Baron’s basketball game in the Cook Hall Gymnasium. Immediately following that game, halftime activities including the pie in the face contest and basketball shots to win gift certificates will take place. The Baron’s Men’s Basketball Team plays at 5 p.m.

During the halftime pie contest, students, faculty and staff from The Ohio State University at Lima and the James A. Rhodes State College will have the opportunity to donate money to the Toys for Tots campaign. The leader of whichever school raises the most money will get a pie in the face. The only way John R. Snyder of Ohio State or Earl E. Keese of Rhodes State can avoid the pie is to pay a $20 winner’s fee to transfer the pie honor to the losing school. One way or another, someone gets the pie.

Student groups will have food booths set up at the games. The games are free and open to the public. The community is welcome.
