Ohio Energy workshop comes to Ohio State Lima

 The Ohio State University at Lima will host the Ohio Energy Youth Workshop from 9:30 a.m.-1:45 p.m., Wed., Nov. 17, 2004, in the Cook Hall gymnasium. With the guidance of the Ohio Energy Project staff, high school students from the Allen County educational program and the Lima City Schools OPT program will facilitate hands-on activities for 50 elementary and middle school students.

The activities cover renewable/nonrenewable energy sources and science concepts related to sound, light and electricity. They were developed by the Ohio Energy Project.

The high school facilitators participated in a one-day training session at Ohio State Lima to prepare for the workshop.

Participating elementary and middle schools include Lima West Middle School, Glandorf Elementary, St. Mary’s of Assumption and Grand Lake Christian School.
