For Immediate Release May 18, 2006 Contact: Pam Joseph (419) 995-8242 or Lesley King (419) 995-8671 Ohio State Lima sponsors international math conference Since its inception in 1965, the Ohio State-Dennison Math Conference has grown from a regional meeting to an international conference that attracts mathematicians from around the United States and the world. The biennial conference is designed to allow participants to associate productively, make fruitful research interactions and report on their research. The 28th OSU-Dennison Math Conference is planned for May 19-21, 2006, at Ohio State Columbus and will feature sessions in Combinatorics, Group Theory and Ring Theory. Dr. S. Tariq Rizvi, professor of Mathematics at Ohio State Lima, has organized the Ring Theory session for 18 years. This year, the Ring Theory section alone will feature research papers from Ohio, Alabama, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, New York, Canada, India, Palestine, South Korea and Spain. The conference is supported by the Mathematics Research Institute in Columbus and the Department of Mathematics at The Ohio State University in Columbus and Lima.
