Dear Parents,

To be completely honest, I had very little hope that the Buckeye football team would be in contention for ANYTHING this fall...but it's turning out to be an exciting season! Who would've ever thought?!

Aside from football, though, your students are hopefully taking advantage of some other exciting things happening on campus. Our first ever Regional Homecoming Court (officially tied to the Columbus Homecoming festivities) took place just a couple weeks ago and was wonderful! See some great photos here: http://ohiostatealumni.org/sac/Pages/PhotoGalleries.aspx

Some things to encourage your student to keep an eye out for in the upcoming weeks:

• November 15, 7:30pm: Luma Mufleh, the main character from the Buckeye Book Community Book, Outcasts United, will be lived streamed to students on campus. This is a great opportunity to hear first-hand how, as an immigrant in this country, she was able to make a difference in the lives of countless refugees.

• November 17, 5:30pm: Our annual Business Etiquette Dinner held on campus teaches young people the art of mingling, doing business over a meal and interviews with food! Please encourage them to register. There is a 10$ deposit, but they get it back when they show up for the event.

• December 2, 8pm: Encore Theatre presents White Christmas. This is part of our Passport to Lima program, allowing students to experience what Lima has to offer at discounted rates. Students will be getting an email soon.

As always-please remind your student to stay focused on classes and muscle through the last few weeks. It can be stressful and difficult-but the end of the quarter is in sight! Please let me know if I can be of any assistance!

Warmest regards,

Beth Keehn
