Wow! I can't believe how quickly the year has gone by!!

As Spring quarter begins to wrap up, you will likely begin noticing some big changes on your student. This is generally the time when they really begin to feel like they have figured out college. They are more confident in their decisions-whether it is about classes they choosing; majors they are considering; living arrangements they are confirming; or event the clubs they are joining.

This confidence doesn't mean that your student no longer needs support and guidance-they definitely do! For many students though, it means that they are making the switch from asking their parents so many questions, to discussing the many decisions they are making with their parents.

(This new found maturity that most students find during this time is the reason I love my job. Every year I am amazed at how much growth young people can experience in so little time. It's refreshing!)

On some more practical notes:

• By now, your student should be registered for classes next fall-whether those will be in Lima or Columbus. (And please note: our Academic Advising area now takes 15 minute walk-in appointments all day, every day!)
• We expect that financial aid packages for returning students will be posted by the end of May. Remember, these can be viewed on your students' Buckeyelink page.
• No classes and offices closed on Memorial Day, May 31.
• Finals week is June7-10

And finally... PRESIDENT GEE is coming to Lima Monday, May 24!! Your students will have several opportunities to meet him, so please encourage them to take advantage of these unique opportunities:

• Student Reception in the Galvin Commons 12:50-1:15pm
• Gee visits The Metro 3:30-4:00pmnn
• "Kewpees with Gordon Gee" at Longmeadow 4-4:30pm
