Ohio State Lima Career Award for Student Mentorship
Description: This award will be given on an annual basis for sustained excellence over several years in undergraduate scholarly mentorship.
Award: This award will include a $500 honorarium and $1,000 in the form of a line of credit that can be used for professional development (e.g., travel expenses, books, research or teaching materials or supplies). Only one award is given each year. The winner will be announced (and presented with a plaque) at the annual Spring Awards Ceremony.
The funds can be accessed directly by using the P-card. For other options, including reimbursements, please contact the Business Office.
Review: Nominations for the Ohio State Lima Career Award for Student Mentorship will be reviewed by the URMC. The committee will consider both the quantity and quality of student-mentored projects. Nomination forms are available on the URMC webpage. Self-nominations are acceptable and encouraged. Individuals who have previously won the award must sit out a period of five years before being considered again, unless there is no other qualified candidate.
