New program responds to employer demand

COLUMBUS – The bachelor of science in engineering technology to be offered on The Ohio State University’s regional campuses will prepare graduates with skills needed for high-demand jobs in the state: business-oriented engineering leaders to run the factories of tomorrow.

Transference: Department of Art Faculty Exhibition

Along with 21 of his collegues, Ed Valentine has three recent paintings in the Department of Art faculty show that runs in the Urban Arts Space through Nov. 16 in Columbus.

Drop-in hours available for iPad assistance

For students that need extra instruction on their iPad features and apps, Digital Flagship Student Mentors are available in the Learning Center. Student mentors can answer questions about using the iPad to create and submit assignments, as well as offer advice on the best apps for digital projects. These drop-in hours are held noon-2 p.m., Tuesdays, and 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Goodbye, outdated technology ... hello, Workday

To create a better employee experience, Ohio State will introduce Workday next summer as the university’s new information technology. Workday will replace the aging technologies that employees currently use to complete administrative tasks, such as requesting time off, viewing your payslip and purchasing goods. By integrating information from finance, HR, payroll and supply chain within Workday, the university will streamline business transactions for employees and elevate operational excellence across the institution.

150^TH ANNIVERSARY

History of Ohio State class celebrates sesquicentennial

Buckeye Biography: 150 Years of Ohio State, a free, non-credit open course on the history of Ohio State is now live and consists of nine modules. Tyler Osborne, the Sesquicentennial Archives assistant from Univeristy Archives, will be in Lima at 4:30 p.m., Tues., Oct. 22, 2019, for a Q&A on the topic.
