The Ohio State University at Lima

Athletics - Volleyball Recruitment

Dear Student Athlete,

I am writing to introduce you to an opportunity to become a member of the Barons women’s volleyball team for The Ohio State University at Lima and Rhodes State College. I am offering you a chance to continue in competition at the collegiate level, and thus enhance your college experience at the Lima campus. This campus offers student athletes an opportunity to play a sport they love while developing social and leadership skills, a sense of community, and a proud representation of school.

Ohio State Lima and Rhodes State are members of the Ohio Regional Campus Conference. The ORCC consists of teams from the regional campuses of Ohio University, Miami University, Wright State, University of Akron and The Ohio State University. Our non-conference schedule is very competitive and we play approximately 20 games throughout the season.

The Lima campus offers education options that will meet your needs. To be able to play volleyball for our campus, you have a unique opportunity to choose from two options of higher education. With The Ohio State University at Lima, you can receive your bachelor's and master's degree without leaving the Lima campus, while Rhodes State College offers associate certificates in a wide variety of programs.

I am looking for hard workers and team leaders to join the volleyball squad in the upcoming season. The volleyball timeline consists of volleyball open gyms being held in July and practices and tryouts will occur in August. The volleyball season starts in September and the season ends in October. Also, most student athletes still have time to continue to work throughout the season. Here is the link to the volleyball website. Lima.OSU.edu/athletics/volleyball
