What will be in the Perry Webb Student Life Building?

The Perry Webb Student Life Building will be a 15,000 square-foot building that will feature a café and coffee bar, an information commons and collaborative work space, several multipurpose lounge spaces and a 3,000 square-foot fitness and wellness center. Ohio State Lima’s Office of Student Life will also be housed in this building.

Who will be able to access the Perry Webb Student Life Building?

The Perry Webb Student Life Building will be a hub of campus activity and community, serving a variety of purposes for faculty, students, staff and the community at large.

Groups that will be permitted to access the building include:
Ohio State Lima students
Rhodes State College students
Ohio State Lima faculty/staff
Rhodes State College faculty/staff
Ohio State alumni
Community members

What will be the hours of operation?

Monday–Thursday: 7 a.m.–8 p.m.
Friday: 7 a.m.–5 p.m.

How will the Fitness and Wellness Center operate and what fees are associated with its use?

The Fitness and Wellness Center will operate on an opt-in membership-based structure. All members will be able to take advantage of non-credit fitness classes at no charge; non-members can pay as they go for non-credit fitness classes offered in the building. Student fee schedules are based on academic terms.

OSU Students: $30/term for AU and SP; $15/term for SU
Rhodes State Students: $30/term for AU and SP; $15/term for SU
Lima Campus Faculty and Staff (OSU and RSC): $90/six months
OSU Alumni: $90/six months
Community Members: $150/six months

How do students, faculty, staff and community members reserve space in the meeting rooms/collaborative work spaces?

Anyone can reserve space in the meeting rooms/collaborative work spaces. OSU students will have priority in terms of availability. Interested users can reserve space by contacting the Director of Student Life.

Where has parking been relocated?

During Summer 2017, faculty/staff and visitor parking that was previously located in Lots A and B has been relocated to Lot D. This lot will serve as general parking for faculty, staff, visitors and students. Beginning Autumn 2017, Lot D will be dedicated exclusively to student and visitor parking and Lot C will become the new faculty/staff lot.

What is the timeline for the project?

Construction will begin in May 2017 and continue through Spring 2018. The grand opening for the building will coincide with the opening of the 2018-2019 academic year in August 2018.
