Accuplacer

The Accuplacer is given on Ohio State Lima campus for students who are registering for College Credit Plus classes. Please refer to the resource below to see if you need to take the Accuplacer Test.

To register for the test, you will need to submit the following information to Learning Center Director (Timothy Cheeseman   Cheeseman.5@osu.edu)  and schedule a time to test.

  • Full name
  • Date of birth
  • Ohio State email address
     

The exam is given in the learning center on Ohio State Lima campus in Galvin 310.  We are on Galvin 3rd floor. Galvin is Ohio State's main building, the one with the big Ohio State seal on it.


The best start times for the exam are:
Monday-Thursday 11 a.m.- 4 p.m. and Friday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. During the summer, June-August, campus is fully remote on Fridays.
 

The Accuplacer is a 3-part untimed exam consisting of reading, writing, and math. Students typically use ~1.5-2 hours for the test. Nothing is needed for the test. Students may have drinks during testing. Results are available after testing. Students may retest once. Score benchmarks for College Credit Plus eligibility are currently:
 

  • Reading 250
  • Writing 263
  • Math 263
