This licensure program fills a need in Ohio for more intervention specialists and prepares all teachers to better serve their students. It meets the needs of working teachers and is designed around the working education professional’s schedule. The program offers virtual options that require a minimal amount of time on campus while retaining the rigor of an Ohio State program.

Members of the Ohio State Lima education team are also available to discuss the K-12 Mild/Moderate Special Education Licensure at staff and in-service meetings.

To schedule a visit, schools can contact Leah Herner-Patnode, associate professor of special education and academic program coordinator for education, at herner-patnode.1@osu.edu.
