STEAM on the Quad 2024 at Ohio State Lima

STEAM on the Quad will return to The Ohio State University at Lima for its ninth year from 1-4 p.m., Sunday, September 28, 2025.

STEAM on the Quad is aimed at kids in grades K-8 and built to improve their knowledge and interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Humanities, and Math through hands-on activity.

A variety of activities will be hosted by the 4-H programs of Putnam, Hardin, Allen, Hancock, Lucas, Auglaize and Logan counties; the Ohio State Lima departments of education, earth sciences, English and theatre; and a variety of student clubs, community businesses and organizations. Among the 30 stations, COSI will bring many hands-on experiments and event sponsor Charles River Lab will be back with a tentful of activities. Perennial favorites Johnny Appleseed MetroParks District, Allen County Museum, YWCA and the Autism Life Center will be joined by ArtSpace/Lima and the Allen County Master Gardeners.

Several food trucks, including the Ice Palace Express and Frog Sneeze Mac and Cheese, are also expected on the grounds.

STEAM on the Quad is free and open to the public. Register online at go.osu.edu/STEAM25

STEAM on the Quad is a collaboration between Ohio State Lima and the OSU Extension offices in the surrounding areas. The event is presented with support from Charles River Lab.

STEAM on the Quad is presented rain or shine. If inclement weather occurs, the event will be held in the Cook Hall Gymnasium.
