As students leave campus for Thanksgiving break and we move closer to the end of the semester, this quiet moment on campus is an excellent time to take a moment to reflect on what we as an institution are grateful for.
At the top of everyone’s list is surely the people who make our campus a community. The staff and faculty who dedicate their time and effort to learning, education and research; the alumni and community members who help us build experiential experiences and partnerships that strengthen and expand our classroom experiences; and, most importantly, the students who walk through our doors ready to build their big dreams into a future we can all be proud of.
Regional Campus Commitment
The Regional Campus Commitment is an investment in Ohio State’s regional campuses and the communities they serve and a powerful reaffirmation of Ohio State's enduring mission as a land-grant institution. For 65 years, The Ohio State University at Lima has been a living embodiment of this mission, providing access to an Ohio State education and lifting up communities in northwest Ohio. The new commitment ensures this vital work will continue for generations to come. Ohio State’s regional campuses make it possible for students across the state to remain close to home while earning their Ohio State degree. Through the Regional Campus Commitment program, eligible new first-year students who enroll at one of the university’s campuses in Lima, Mansfield, Marion or Newark, or at Ohio State ATI in Wooster can now attend Ohio State without having to pay tuition or mandatory fees. Students can choose to complete an associate or bachelor’s degree on a regional campus or transition to the Columbus campus.
