Counseling Services will return for Autumn Semester

If you are in need of assistance before that time, below are several resources you may want to consider.

If you need immediate assistance, please utilize one of the following emergency resources:

If you are in need of therapy / counseling

  • Check with your health insurance provider to find a list of therapists in your area that are covered 
  • Check with your employer (or parents’ employers) to see if an Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) is available to you.  These usually provide several free sessions to employees and their dependents. 
  • There are several reputable sites for telehealth therapy services.  Some will accept health insurance.  Others are cash only, but some financial assistance may be available. 

Light Therapy lamps for Seasonal Depression now available at the Lima Campus Library for free check out!  Light therapy is a research-supported treatment for Seasonal Affective Disorder (or seasonal depression).  A few minutes each morning in front of the lamp (while also doing whatever you like) can help improve mood and regulate sleep cycles.  Stop in the Library to check one out today!

REACH Trainings: Training to recognize the warning signs of suicide in others and how to help. For information about trainings available on Lima Campus, contact Haudenschield.11@osu.edu. To request a REACH presentation, complete this form.

Mental Health Strategies: A series of short videos focused on skills and strategies for improving mental health.

Ohio State Wellness App: A new tool to support student mental health and well-being on campus with help to find resources, set goals, build healthy habits and connect to support on campus.

Consultation & Assessment Team (CAT): If you’re concerned about the wellbeing of another student, the CAT team is available to check in with that student, offer support and resources to that student as well as any other students involved.
