Academy orientation

By being admitted to the Academy Program at The Ohio State University at Lima, you are taking the first steps in starting your successful college career. The Academy Orientation is designed to get students off to a strong start and to ensure success throughout the College Credit Plus Program.

Welcome to Ohio State Lima!

At Orientation you will:

  •    Attend a group advising session to meet your advisor and schedule courses towards your future goals
  •    Meet other incoming Academy students
  •    Become more familiar with what Ohio State Lima has has to offer

Orientation Schedule:

8:45-9:00 a.m.:    Check - In

9:00-9:40 a.m.:    Welcome and Buckeye Academy Basics

9:40-10:00 a.m.:    Campus Resources

10:00-10:05 a.m.:    Break

10:05-10:45 a.m.:    Campus Tour

10:45 a.m.-12:00 p.m.:    Group Advising

Pre-orientation Checklist

Buckeye Tips:

  • Bring picture ID in order to get Buck ID
  • Bring license plate number and drivers license to get vehicle registration

Math Placement Testing:

If you are interested in taking a math course or a natural science course at Ohio State Lima through the Academy Program, you must take the math placement test prior to orientation.

  • You must meet the college readiness standards as defined by the State of Ohio before taking the math placement test
  • The math placement test is a "one and done" for your entire Ohio State college career. Please visit: go.osu.edu/mathplacement for math placement information and study materials
  • The math placement test takes approximately 2 hours
