The Ohio State Lima Undergraduate Research Forum is designed to encourage students to actively engage in research. Research can take many forms including scientific research, surveys and essays, artistic creations and students are encouraged to participate in all forms. The main event is a poster presentation where students present their work together, followed by oral presentations scheduled individually or in small groups based on discipline.
2023 Ohio State Lima Undergraduate Research Forum
2023 Forum Dates:
March 11: submit an abstract (maximum 300 words) to lima-research@osu.edu
April 4, noon-2 p.m.: The Lima Research Forum is held in person at the Lima Campus Library in Cook Hall. The 2023 forum will include 21 students presenting 18 research projects. New this year will be a ShowcAcE of the academic enrichment (AcE) programs – honors, global education, service learning and research.
2022 Mentor Award Due Dates:
March 18:Sustained Student Mentorship Award. The Sustained Student Mentorship Award is an award given out to a faculty member who has demonstrated a record of quality mentorship of undergraduates in research. Faculty members who have won the award within the last five years are ineligible. We encourage you to self-nominate if you have been involved in undergraduate research. April 18:Annual Student Mentorship Awards are given out annually to faculty who have mentored undergraduates who have participated in the Lima undergraduate research forum. Filled out forms should be e-mailed to norris.667@osu.edu
Beyond the Lima Campus Forum, participation in the Denman Undergraduate Research Forum, the Spring Undergraduate Research Festival, the University Libraries Undergraduate Research Fellowship, or publication in JUROS are all strongly encouraged, although faculty and students are welcome to pursue any appropriate forum for their discipline that will showcase undergraduate research.
