Orientation

After accepting admission and paying the $100 acceptance fee, students receive an email to register. These items can be completed on the Applicant Center page. 

• Registration opens:
  • Autumn admits: March 1
  • Spring admits: November 3
• Registration is done via My Buckeye Link.
  • Spring Semester New Student Orientation date:
    • December 11, 2025 (Agenda)
  • Autumn Semester New Student Orientation dates:
    • TBD

• Transcripts should be sent electronically, if possible. The address to have them sent to is: ugdocs@osu.edu
• If electronic delivery is not possible, have transcript(s) mailed to the address below:

• Tests are assigned based on ACT/SAT/AP scores and previous college coursework.
• Subjects may include Math, English, and World Languages.
• Information regarding placement exam can be found here.

Students needing accommodation must apply through Student Life Disability Services before testing. 

• Accessed via carmen.osu.edu.
• Must be completed before attending the in-person session.

• Held at G. Gilbert Cloyd Student Commons, Galvin Hall (lower level).
• Date and time are confirmed in My Buckeye Link.
• Changes to orientation dates must be requested through the Lima admissions office.
