About the speaker
Guest speaker Imran Nuri (BSBA ’20) is an artist and author based in Chicago who is best known for his photo series and book, Advice From America. By driving over 15,000 miles in the span of 84 days in 2022, he went searching for the meaning of life by asking 1,000 strangers across the lower 48 US states about what they wished they had known earlier. In other words, he asked them for life advice, and he photographed each of them on a 50-year-old film camera. Imran’s talk presents his journey across America and the findings of 1,000 pieces of advice from strangers to show what Americans believe to be true about making the most of life.
