Buckeyes First is a student-led success initiative open to all Ohio State Lima students and designed with the first-generation student in mind. At Ohio State, a first-generation student is a student whose parents have not completed a bachelor's degree. Whether you identify as first-generation or not, all Lima students are welcome to participate in Buckeyes First programming, connect with peers, and access opportunities designed to build confidence, strengthen belonging, and support student success.

Buckeyes First programming is led by Buckeyes First Fellows, student leaders who have earned the NASPA Certified Peer Educator credential and are trained to support connection, belonging, and student success. Fellows create opportunities for students to connect with peers, staff, and faculty while developing personal, academic, and professional skills and elevating student voice.

Students interested in serving as a Buckeyes First Fellow are encouraged to contact Alyssa Brown, Student Retention Coordinator, at brown.6450@osu.edu or 567-242-7263.
