Free Counseling Services Available in Columbus
The Ohio State University at Lima does not provide counseling services on campus for faculty or staff. Counseling services are available to all OSU students (including those attending the Lima campus) in Columbus. Students are entitled to as many as 10 free counseling visits per academic year at the Office of Counseling and Consultation Services on the Columbus campus. The location and contact information for the center is listed below. For psychiatry service/consultation, you should expect a $15 copay if you have OSU health insurance. If you have private insurance, you should contact the center to determine costs associated with psychiatric services.

Local Referral Information
Whenever possible, students should consult with their local physician for guidance in making a mental health referral. Students should inquire with each agency about fee schedules, policies regarding scheduling and canceling appointments, insurance/copay/reduced-fee options, and transportation assistance, if necessary. Additional providers can be obtained from local hospital referral networks.
