In a world increasingly dominated by all things digital, Ohio State Lima alumni, faculty and staff will be reaching out this spring with something a little more old school – handwritten notes.
A group will gather to put pen to paper to encourage high school seniors who are interested in any of Ohio State’s campuses and who live in the counties surrounding the Lima campus. All alumni who want to spend some time paying it forward and helping to recruit the next class of Buckeyes are welcome at the Lima Postcard Palooza.
“Students and families enjoy hearing from alumni and it makes a difference to receive a handwritten postcard in the mail these days, compared to another email,” said Brittany Savko, assistant director of alumni engagement. “To be able to have this meaningful, personalized touchpoint at a place the size of Ohio State – coming from proud local alumni sharing their stories and words of congratulation – showcases the value of our Buckeye network.”
