The Department of Theatre, Film and Media Arts at The Ohio State University at Lima presents Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind (30 Plays in 60 Minutes) by Greg Allen at 8 p.m., April 10, 11 and 12, in the Martha W. Farmer Theatre for the Performing Arts in Reed Hall.
Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind by Greg Allen is an ensemble experiment in presenting "30 Plays in 60 Minutes." Each two-minute play is performed in random order with an interactive audience. The show is directed by Margie Anich.
A little bit satirical sketch comedy, a little bit absurdist Monty Python, a little bit Improv, the neo-futurist aesthetic is 30 short “plays” in 60 minutes, performed with as much honesty as possible, with no set and minimum tech needs, focusing on the relationship between audience and performers. The collection the audience can choose from includes comic, tragic, political, personal and abstract plays.
Rated "R" for adult content. Seating will be limited.
Tickets are $5 for students and seniors and $4+$1 roll of a dice ($5-10, based on luck). Tickets can be purchased at the door with credit/debit cards only. Box office opens at 7 p.m.
