Ohio State Lima’s dean and director has been named to the board of directors of the Greater Lima Region, Inc.
Tim Rehner, PhD, MSW, along with Good Food Restaurants’ President John Heaphy and Bluffton University’s Dr. Jane Wood, has joined the board effective immediately.
“I’m honored to join GLR’s board,” said Rehner. “This region already leverages strong ties between the business sector and the academic community, and GLR continues to support that connectivity.”
Greater Lima Region, Inc is a privately funded 501C3 non-profit corporation with a mission to stimulate economic and community development in the eight-county greater Lima region.
“We’re extremely excited to have John, Jane and Tim join GLR’s board. Collectively they bring an enormous amount of talent and experience to our organization, while individually providing unique perspective on growth opportunities in our community,” said Board Chair John Shaver, senior director of manufacturing for Procter and Gamble. “Speaking for the entire board, we know they’ll make a significant contribution to furthering GLR’s mission and impacting our region in a positive manner.”
