Robin Bagley receives the 2025 Teaching Excellence Award at Ohio State Lima

The Ohio State Lima Teaching Excellence Award is a student-driven honor, with nominations generated by the student body and selection of the top candidate by student leaders. This award recognizes the outstanding performance of an Ohio State Lima faculty member, both in appreciation of past excellence and to encourage future innovation.

In 2025, the students chose Robin Bagley to be the recipient of the Teaching Excellence Award. Dr. Bagley is an assistant professor in Evolution, Ecology and Organismal Biology.

Dr. Bagley received many heartfelt nominations from students who have had the honor of being taught by her. Students expressed their appreciation of the welcoming atmosphere she creates in the classroom. They commented on her eagerness to try new things to ensure that they understand the material and that she does so in an enthusiastic and fun way.

A student nominator wrote, “Dr. Robin Bagley is one of the most enthusiastic and easy-going teachers I have had. She actively tries new ways of teaching and includes students in hands-on activities so that we can both enjoy class and understand the material we are learning about. She, overall, is a very sweet, kind, and fun teacher, and even more, a member of The Ohio State University.”
