Ohio State Lima’s Dr. Mark Kleffner has earned the President’s Service Award from the National Association of Branch Campus Administrators.

The award is traditionally presented by the organization's sitting president in appreciation of an individual's distinct, outstanding contributions and service to the national association. Dr. Kleffner has been actively involved in NABCA's leadership pipeline, notably serving on the executive team as the research vice chair.

Dr. Kleffner is a professor of earth sciences and associate dean at Ohio State Lima. He is well-known in the community for his presentations on fossils, rocks and dinosaurs.

“Mark is truly one of the most selfless and generous people on our campus, and his dedication to our regional campuses is second to none. His commitment to education has always gone far beyond the classroom—whether he’s mentoring fellow faculty or reaching out to local learners, his focus is always on helping others succeed,” said Dr. Meggie Young, dean and director at Ohio State Lima. “Beyond his incredible work, Mark is just unwaveringly kind and always brings a positive outlook for the future. We are so proud of his dedication to our university, our students, and our community. He doesn't just work at a regional campus; he makes sure it’s a place where everyone has the chance to build a bright future.”

Dr. Kleffner will be out in the community this summer and everyone is welcome to attend.
