Post Bloom Prune opens September 7 with a gallery reception in the Farmer Family Gallery
The Ohio State University at Lima will host a gallery reception to open Post Bloom Prune by artist Britny Wainwright from 4-6 p.m., Thursday, September 7, 2023, in the Farmer Family Gallery in Reed Hall. The reception and the show are free and open to the public.
Post Bloom Prune features sculptural works that pair terra-cotta vessels and textile cushions. Each piece dwells on observations of daily flora; the tender rise and lush decay of blossoms, the garden, and the domestic landscape of the vase. This exhibition reflects on the endurance and end of a long summer. Regular gallery hours are 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday-Thursday with further visitation by appointment. The gallery will be closed September 4, October 10 and 11. Post Bloom Prune runs September 7-October 28. Contact breidenbach.44@osu.edu for more information.
