Brutus Buckeye looks out from behind the words "Buckeye Bash"

New students at Ohio State Lima have many opportunities to visit campus and learn the academic ropes as they work their ways through the admissions process. Now they will also be here for some pure fun at the Buckeye Bash from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, July 16, 2026.

“Summer orientation is about the logistics of starting college, but the Buckeye Bash is about building the community that will sustain our students through it. They are already familiar with the campus from visits and orientations, so they can walk in with their families and supporters, relax, and connect on a purely social level,” said Ashley Marsh, director of enrollment. “Coming to this event bridges the gap between summer and the autumn semester, ensuring that when classes officially start, our students will already see familiar faces in the hallways and feel like they truly belong here.”

The summer celebration will include games, activities, ice cream and music. Students and their families can hang out, get to know their classmates and experience campus in a whole new way. Committed incoming Ohio State Lima students have received an invitation or can register at go.osu.edu/visitlima
